THREE PLAYS by Christina Anderson

"This collection of plays is a snapshot into Christina Anderson’s beautiful mind and craft. Lovers of Black history and Black life will find a place for their imaginations to thrive across these works. Anderson brings much needed depth to Black queer stories with care and insight that is rare in our time." -Charlene A. Carruthers, filmmaker and author of Unapologetic: A Black, Queer, and Feminist Mandate for Radical Movements

"I’m excited to not only invite readers to read a few of my plays, but also offer a glimpse into my process as a playwright and creative. The three works I include each capture a significant moment in my theatrical journey that continues to evolve. And I designed the book cover, using my photography to create a collage that symbolizes my approach when crafting my play worlds." -Christina Anderson

it’s inevitable. change. the only thing constant is change. prayer changes everything. life changes for the better. you got some change you can spare? i need a change in my life.

see, the thing about ‘change’ is that it never arrives by itself. depending on what kind it is, it’ll show up at your house with one or two people, or a whole bunch of folks. but understand and believe: change is the one running the show.”
